JOMO Club’s Charity Support - What Are We Doing?

Over the years, as individuals and then as a company, we have supported a number of charities close to our hearts and in many ways.

As individuals, we have climbed the three peaks, run a half marathon, run 10K’s, walked all day and night (around one park), hosted cake sales, raffles, volunteering, donating boxes and many more things that we probably can’t even remember!

Charities have varied from Childline to Cancer Research to Ukraine charities and included Sober October which started as a way to raise money for Macmillan and £1 from every JOMO box was donated to the charity during this month.

So, a year into JOMO Club, what are we doing now?

We like to support individual charities where we can (and usually we can) however we are now a trustee of a new charitable foundation called ‘The CHEE Foundation’. Standing for Children, Health, Education and Equality, this foundation will be making grants to small charities where a small amount can make a transformational difference. All charities CHEE supports, will have children at the heart.

The first big step in raising money for the foundation is a black tie charity ball taking place at The Landmark Hotel in Marylebone on the 13th May. This will be hosted for 400 professionals in the Finance Industry and will be a night of food, entertainment, dancing and raising a lot of money - we even have Noughty’s Sparkling Chardonnay for those that aren’t drinking.

With a storming start before the ball even takes place, we are expected to make a significant amount of money which is an extremely exciting start for CHEE and the charity receiving part of the money raising called New Beginnings, working with children in Ukraine. There will be a commitment board as part of the emergency campaign and will be for guests who would like to specifically support this charity over and above what has been raised.
