JOMO Club's Alcohol-Free Dry January Box 2025

Dry January 2025 is here. We are excited to report in 2024, more people than ever before embraced periods of sobriety, drinking more mindfully or packing booze in completely. This means more alcohol-free drinks launches, a greater focus on flavour and quality, more venues serving quality alternatives to alcohol and a further normalisation of not drinking. This has a knock on effect for others making the decisions they want to make other than being driven by pressures and norms.

January for us is a great time to reflect over the year and implement or bring back healthy rituals and habits. There doesn’t need to be huge pressures on resolutions, but perhaps intentions is a lighter way of looking at it. Things you can improve on or commitments to yourself.

To represent this, the JOMO Club Dry January box included light, fresh, crisp flavours to be able to see in a fresh new year. So, let’s take a look inside shall we?

Pentire Drinks

Bottle of Adrift

If you haven’t come across Pentire by now I am surprised, but luckily that is why JOMO is here, to show you the very best, and Pentire are certainly among the best. Based on supporting an active lifestyle they are a January classic and the easiest serve out there. Adrift is a botanical based alcohol-free spirit created through distillation of plants unique to the Cornish coastline. This creates a unique, fresh, herbal and super coastal flavour. Pentire Adrift also includes 0g sugar so perfect for weaning off that December overindulgence.

Perfect Serve

50ml Pentire Adrift over ice topped with a light tonic such as Fever Tree. Garnish with a lemon peel and a sprig of rosemary.

Following a month of socialising, driving back and forth and laying on the sofa for far too long, we are bringing you a little seasoning of calm this month. A low sugar seltzer infused with high quality CBD to be enjoyed at any time of the day. A relatively new launch on the market, Nuwave. Something to enjoy cold out the can on the go after a gorgeous winter walk. Using natural botanicals such as lions mane for focus & congnition, ashwagandha for relaxation & sociability, maca root to balance hormones and biotics for gut and metabolism.

Jorg Geiger

A classic January serve. It is elegant and the story behind the brand really is inspiring. Designed to pair with food and created out of love for nature and life. We showcased three different drinks in this box of which members received one. Here’s what they look like. The first is Apple, Rose & Mint. The apples are rare, old apple and pear varieties from the region. Small and tart creating a punchy flavour, lifted by rose and mint. The roses are grown for Jorg Geiger and are then distilled to extract the essential oils. The second and third drinks are ‘virgin long drinks’. These are the latest addition to the range which look to blend and balance flavours for the perfect result. There is a bitter version based on Juniper and a Kimmel based on Caraway. Both are distilled with ingredients including cucumber, dill, pepper, selected herbs, flowers and spices. It is best served over ice to appreciate the amazing flavours.

Brut Tea

We have included Brut Tea as a little bonus for the past few months to give our members time to experiment with it in different ways. Whether that is in a brew on a chilly January day, over ice for an iced tea or a dash in an alcohol-free cocktail for extra flavour and complexity. Put simply, Brut Tea are tea tokens using premium tea. No bags, no loose leaf, just a token.

Mar-tea-ni

Strongly brew 25ml Brut Tea and wait to cool. Shake with 50ml Pentire and 50ml aperitif of your choice such as Pentire Coastal. Strain into a martini glass.
