Q: Welcome to the first box of 2026! Can we start with your idea of a perfect January day?
The idea of a perfect day would be to meet up at a good friends' house, surprise them with something different like everything that this month's JOMO box brings us, and be able to enjoy a delicious cocktail with or without alcohol thanks to MATCH.
Q: Do you have any resolutions, intentions or mindful rituals you will be implementing into January and beyond?
Our mindful ritual for Dry January is this version of MATCH, to be enjoyed on its own, as it is perfect for detoxing from the excesses of December without having to stick to water which feels a bit anti-climatic after the indulgent festive season. Whether on its own or mixed with a non-alcoholic spirit, it is one of the best options for all those who like to enjoy life.
Q: The festive season can often be full on. Socialising and overindulgence. What drink will you be whipping up this January?
A twist on a low-alcohol aperitif that we love with MATCH Mediterranean, such as Hugo Spritz. It will be based on your favourite bergamot / elderflower/ limoncello liqueur with a top-up of MATCH Mediterranean. Simple but extremely delicious!
Q: This month, we have Match’s Mediterranean Tonic Water. Can you tell us about what we can expect from this?
In the Mediterranean version of MATCH, you have an honest product that delivers what it promises: herbal aromas, wellness from sage, which is a superfood in perfect balance with rosemary, basil and a hint of green cardamom.
Q: You put experience first. From the way your drinks look to the way they taste and feel. Why was experience at the forefront when creating Match and how important was appearance?
When we created MATCH, instead of thinking about how to take market share away from our competitors, we focused on solving a cross-cutting problem that affects retailers and e-commerce operators.
We designed a bottle that solves the problems of limited space and breakages, while also being inclusive in terms of sustainability.
Q: What is your favourite way to enjoy the Mediterranean Tonic?
The truth is that it is extremely rich in nuances and can be a non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverage. But it is extremely surprising with a quality white rum or tequila to offer something more ‘out of the box’.
Q: You have another three in your range. Can you tell us about these too?
MATCH, as its name suggests, aims to be the perfect mixer beyond the gin category. In the case of the Indian Tonic, we have a citrusy and dry profile; with the Floral Tonic, we seek to democratise the Spritz category and offer an alternative for mixing blended whiskies. And in the case of the Spicy Tonic, it is the most disruptive and works as a more elevated version of ginger beer or a pink grapefruit mixer.
Q: You recently launched in a number of selected Waitrose stores - congratulations! What has the feedback been like so far and how does it feel to be stocked in a premium supermarket such as Waitrose?
The response from Waitrose's purchasing, marketing and e-commerce teams has always been extremely positive, to be honest. And the same has happened with end consumers, who see a real breath of fresh air that goes beyond the constraints of the category with the MATCH proposal.
